Dancing is the only time when my mind is truly silent.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance), Queensland University of Technology (QUT). During his studies he performed in works by Csaba Buday, Rosetta Cook, Ming-Shen Ku, Claire Marshall, Maggi Sietsma, Ricky Sim, Gavin Webber and Xiao Xiong Zhang, as well as a collaborative project with the Taipei National University of the Arts (Taiwan). Richard’s choreographic work Delirium opened the national design conference 4um? Advertising and Design Asia Pacific and was also presented at the 2005 Malaysian Dance Festival in Kuala Lumpur.

In 2006 Richard performed and was a featured choreographer in Cheryl Stock’s Accented Body (Brisbane Festival). Richard was a member of EDC’s Dance-In-Education team for two years. He joined EDC in 2007, and has since performed in six major productions, including tours through Queensland, to China (Guangzhou), United States (New York) and South Korea (Busan).
