Samantha Mitchell

Samantha recently graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance, where she gained a Diploma in Dance Performance.  In 2007, she worked with New Zealand choreographer Daniel Belton, performing Stitchbirds at The Body Festival in Christchurch.  Samantha also received a scholarship to attend the Cultural Traditions Programme at Jacobs Pillow in Massachusetts, US.  In 2005 Samantha performed in the Montana World of Wearable Arts, choreographed by Malia Johnston.  Samantha joined Expressions Dance Company in January 2008 performing in the world premiere of Maggi Sietsma's On Thin Ice. She also travelled with the company on its 2008 China tour, performing at the Guongdong Modern Dance Festival. Samantha will be embarking on a Queensland Tour performing On Thin Ice in October and November. She will also perform with the company in the New York performance of Maggi Sietsma's Score! in January 2009.
