Timothy Brown Timothy was a 2000 graduate of The Australian Ballet School. He joined Queensland Ballet from 2001- 2008, dancing in all mainstage performances including tours though Europe, Singapore, and Japan. Timothy has danced in works choreographed by Maggi Sietsma AM, Nils Christe, Paul Boyd, Young Soon Hue, Timothy Harbour, Davide Bombana, Jonathan Taylor, Stephan Thoss and William Forsythe. In 2008 Timothy danced the role of Lysander from François Klaus’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream and has worked with choreographer Natalie Weir to create roles for The Gathering (2007) & The Unwritten (2005). In 2008 Timothy joined Expressions Dance Company to tour Maggi Sietsma's On Thin Ice through Northern Queensland and the Gold Coast. Timothy began his choreographic career while still a student at The Australian Ballet School. He created Little Tell-Tales for the AICD's Dance Creation 2000 competition and won the Peggy van Praagh Award for non-professional choreographers. He has choreographed over 10 ballets for both Queensland Ballet and Queensland Ballet's Professional Year program. These include An Eclectic Voice (presented in 2001 as part of AICD's Winners Works program), Textual Heart, Zenith, Graphic Strangers, The Flight of Stone and The Laundromat Blues. Timothys one act contemporary ballet Thread was performed by Queensland Ballet at the Brisbane Powerhouse in 2003. His work has also been performed by Queensland Ballet as part of their contemporary '...with attitude' seasons at QPAC's Playhouse: Hat Over Heels (2005), One Forgetting, Two Remember (2005) and Glitch (2006). Timothy has also created an installation choreographic work for 'Ann St Live' which was presented in the shopfront window of the Universal Store in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. He has also created an interactive performance work, Spectrum of Consequence, in the windows of the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts for 'The Click'.
